Introduction To Thai Airlines
The national flag carrier airline of Thailand is Thai Airlines. The airline is also a founding member of Star Alliance and the airline is currently operating outside Suvarnabhumi Airport. There are some of the non-stop commercial routes of the airline which is provided for the longest routes which have made a number of customers the permanent travelers of the airline. Some of these routes are the routes from Bangkok to New York and to Los Angeles. The airline is very popular all around the world because of the services which it provides like it has awarded as the 'Worlds Best Cabin Staff and The Best Airline in the World' in 2006 by Skytrax and in 2007 the airline was awarded as the “Airline of the Year”. The history of the airline began with the first flight of the airline on May 1960 and the airline came in to existence with the joint venture of Scandinavian Airline system. There have been different stock ownerships proportions in the history of the airline. The airline carries the flights to almost 74 destinations around the world and is considered as the most significant airline nowadays.
Services Of Thai Airline
For making the airline services cheaper for a maximum number of people the airline has divided its traveling in to four classes: Economy Class, Premium Economy, Royal Silk and Royal First. There are different prices and different services which are provided in all of these classes and these services will be discussed over there. The fares of the economy class are the lowest and the seats are although very comfortable but they are arranged in different manner like in 3-3-3 or 3-4-3 and even on Boeing 3-3. For the entertainment of the passengers there is Audio-Video on Demand (AVOD). In-flight Entertainment (IFE) system is also provided which has a touch screen and the individuals also have the options of playing movies in front of them. Moreover, games, sings and the videos can also be accessed. Passengers are also given a choice of Thai or Western meals and soft drinks and the Alcoholic beverages are also provided but the alcoholic drinks are provided to passengers over the legal age limit.
The second class is the Premium Economy class and these classes are available only for inter-continental flights. The fares of this class are higher than the economy class but they are lower than the other two classes. In this class sitting pattern of 2-3-2 is followed. Moreover, there are proper leg rests. The passengers are also given the choice of the meal selection which is one of the reason contributing towards increasing fare of the airline. Like economy class in the Premium Economy class there is also AVOD and IFE with touch screen available. For some long routes flights some of these seats are also sold as Business class seats.
The third class of the airline is the Royal Silk or Business Class and there is a number of world class services provided to these customers and at the same time the fares are also comparatively high to the other classes. There are dedicated check-in desks at main airports in world; and these passengers are also given the lounge access, priority boarding. Moreover, for these passengers there are pre-flight champagne, quick passport control & security-check and immediate baggage handling is also provided. Menu is also very flexible like in the case of the beverages the passenger can select from an extensive list.
The fourth class is the Royal First class which is considered as the most sophisticated passenger class in the flight. There are solo flat beds in these classes and most of the flights to Europe and Australia usually have these class offers. There are personal touch screens and all of the other entertainment systems provided are also give the highly and new services. This shows that Thai airline services are the world class services and that’s all which Thai wants for its customers.
